That claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine may harm women health if they take the shot of vaccine during their menstrual cycle. Additionally, it is said that the COVID vaccine lowers down individual’s immunity in the initial days. It is only later that an individual develops stronger immunity to combat the deadly coronavirus.

Amid concerns raised by ladies on taking the COVID-19 vaccine during periods, the Centre on April 24 (Saturday) dismissed this fake news that has been widely distributed and appealed to ignore such rumours. The fake post claimed that ladies should not take the vaccine, 5 days before or after their menstrual cycle, because they hold very low immunity during that period.
The message actually claimed that the vaccine may affect ladies health adversely if they take the COVID Vaccine during their menstrual cycle. And, it said that the vaccine of coronavirus lowers down the immunity of beneficiaries in the initial days and it is only later that someone develops more solid immunity to fight COVID 19.

“Fake post circulating on social media claims that women should not take #COVID19Vaccine 5 days before and after their menstrual cycle. Don’t fall for rumours!,” the Press Information Bureau said in a tweet.
“All people above 18 should get vaccinated after May 1. Registration starts on April 28 on cowin.gov.in,” the PIB Fact Check Tweeted.
